Herd Sires
Selling coming 2 year olds, featuring sons of Badger, Revolver, Banker and Isidore
Badger
Badger Very few bulls that I have ever seen can compare to this amazing bull. Badger is a true herd bull. He exhibits authentic Angus breed character. His overall herd bull presence is impressive. Badger is good- footed, extremely athletic and moves out very well. He has tremendous muscle and above average length of body with extra rib shape and capacity. This bull is an amazing breeder who will find a cow in heat, breed her and move on and she will settle with one jump. The last 4 years he has run with good sized groups of cows and has had very few opens. Badger also has a docile disposition and has been loaded in the pasture at the end of breeding season in a trailer with no panels. His Dam is Isabel Y69 an Angus legend and one of the most proven and productive cows in the entire breed. She has son’s in many of the AI companies line ups. His now deceased sire No Doubt has been an outstanding sire for performance and carcass merit. He sires cattle with exceptional structure and muscling. His calves have added performance and weigh up in a great moderate sized package. Badger is a complete outcross bull for our program. He is the most consistent sire we have ever used. This spring we calved out his first daughters and I was very impressed. They are the kind of females I like. They are feminine and have nice udders with great attachment and teats that are just the right size. They stay right with their calves and have strong mothering traits. We are really excited to offer another set of sons for sale in November. He has gained a lot of popularity this past year and many top Angus operations around the country and in Canada are using him.
Revolver
Revolver was the high selling bull in our first sale. He is an exceptional individual. He has tremendous length, depth, and muscling. To me his best trait is his disposition. You can walk up to him anywhere and scratch him. I have loaded him in the pasture by myself with just a trailer and he hopped right in. He has proven himself as a calving ease bull and has been used on AI projects over the past couple of years. The calves out of those heifers have been excellent and have been the heaviest calves in those groups. He sires great length in his offspring, and they have a nice look. We have now calved out the third group of heifers out of him and they are great young cows. Maternally they are great mothers and have nice bags. His offspring should add longevity to your herd with his mother lasting here until she was 12 years old. The cow family he is out of has been exceptional.
Banker
Banker is a bull we sampled as a new calving ease bull who also has tremendous maternal traits. He is out of the famous Donna cow family from Montana. He sired true calving ease calves, and we did not assist a single heifer that was bred to him. The calves started out extra light and grew until weaning and then really picked up and have developed into nice moderate sized heifer bulls that have some muscle shape and a great look. We are really excited about the females out of him. They are very fancy and have a great look.
Isidore
Isidore is a bull we raised. He was born on St. Isadore day. He is out of a cow we purchased from Montana. His mother stayed in production here for 12 straight years.. Isadore was her last calf, and she saved her best for last. Her udder was the best of any of our aged cows and was a great mother who always knew where her calves were. Isadore is a very attractive well made individual. As a calf, I could go up to him in the pasture and he would lick my hand. He has a very strong topline and is very complete. He is an exceptional breeder and has covered large groups of cows by himself. His sons have also been active breeders and have held up well. We calved out his first daughters this spring and they are very nice moderate sized females who were great mothers. They have nice tidy udders and have a nice Angus look too them.
